PAINTING

The painting has started!
So far the wet area ceilings have been sealed and first coat or undercoat.
Tomorrow the rest of the house will be sealed and sprayed.

A sample coat has been put on the laundry wall to help me pick the house colour.
The colour is Natural White.
What do we think?
I've got a few more colours to try tomorrow.

main bathroom

Alfresco has had it's first coat!

The kids have managed to damage the house before we have even finished. Today the wall had a run in with the broom. It's in a very visible spot...touch up time.

The exterior has been getting some attention as well. At this stage I'm not sure I like the gables being painted in a wood grain paint (the front door will match). Also the light grey bit at the front still needs to be painted the same colour as the roof.

Maybe it will grow on me. I would have liked a more contemporary exterior but in the bush it didn't seem right.

Stay tuned more paint pics soon :-)

Another Update

Sorry everyone I misplaced my camera and haven't been able to post the finished cornice pics.

Unfortunately the painter arrived on Monday to make a start but the door frames hadn't been installed. It is heart breaking turning tradies away because it is so hard getting them there to start with!
Our door frame drama has been a very frustrating one. Over the weekend M and a tradie were going to install the knock up door frames. The company who supplied the frames did not supply them with screws (which was the first upsetting point) then trying to source the correct screws was an absolute nightmare. We wasted the weekend because we couldn't find the right screws and the company themselves didn't seem to know what screws were needed to install their own product! Anyway I finally picked up the screws today (which are not a standard screw by the way and needed to be ordered) and tomorrow the door frames will be installed. Wow all that for door frames....

The painter thinks he will be able to start next week, so hopefully that will be the case.

I'm needing to finalise my paint colours or should I say start to pick them. Anyone got any suggestions for a neutral white with grey base paint for the entire house?

kitchen appliances

We have kitchen appliances! No kitchen to put them into yet....but not long to go.

I also had a look at our bathroom cupboards all made up and they look much bigger in real life. They will hopefully be installed in a few weeks.

Also the  painter is starting next week to spray the ceilings and other bits and pieces.

Things are really moving along. Lets hope the momentum continues.

Finished gyprock and cornice pictures tomorrow for those interested.

Have a good weekend :-)

Colour Selections

Here are the cabinetry colour selections for the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, office, pantry etc.
The colour on the end called "Zinc Works"I really like but can't seem to find somewhere to put it!

ENSUITE  - very plain but has black tiles on the floor with dark feature tiles

Main Bathroom

Laundry - The cupboard colour isn't the sample here it's just a plain white laminate. (The sample looks yellowish here)

Pantry

Kitchen
Office is still undecided - any suggestions?

House Update:
Gyprockers should be finished this week.
Painter waiting to start once door frames have been put in.
Wet area cabinetry has started to be made
Tiling will start once the bathroom ceilings have been painted.

Still haven't picked the wood flooring for the house...argh.... it is doing my head in!
